Chocolate Milkshake with Twix

Chocolate Milkshake with Twix

I don’t normally go to fast food restaurants except when I want some sweet milkshake… and I usually get milkshake with my favorite candy bars or cookies, like oreos, snickers and twix. Around Halloween, when I have a lot of candies around the house, I like to use them in my shakes or as toppings for ice cream.

These candies are great ingredients for milkshakes and blizzards. My favorite is twix – I love when it’s blended in milkshakes. It’s chewy and caramel-ly and amazing! My husband’s favorite is Reese’s peanut butter cups. If you like peanut butter plus chocolate, definitely try blending some peanut butter cups in your milkshake. For my little son, I added some M&Ms and he absolutely loved it.

It seems that whenever there’s good news, I like to celebrate with something sweet. This milkshake is often enjoyed on those occasions. This is a great milkshake recipe or I like to call it blizzard, since it’s slightly thicker than milkshake. But sometimes when I name something in certain ways, I get lots of hate mail saying that’s not what it’s called, that’s different from what you called it! So I decided to call it a milkshake.

A milkshake or not, it’s still creamy and delicious, especially with my favorite candy topping Twix. You can definitely replace Twix with your favorite candy. My husband loves peanut butter cups and I also love oreos. So I often add those to my milkshake.

Chocolate Milkshake with Twix

This recipe makes one large sized milkshake.
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
  • 2 small Twix bars, chopped (divided)

  1. In blender, combine ice cream, milk, chocolate syrup and half of the chopped Twix bars and blend it until smooth. Transfer to a cup or a glass and top it with the remaining chopped Twix bars. (Use other types of candies if desired)

Arhhh Sook you are killing me with this delicious looking milkshake! I’ve been hungry since 9pm, and 3 hrs past with my hunger…still super hungry and boom! Chocolate milkshake!!! I’m about to cry. Haha. What a great recipe. I’m saving this – I think after Halloween I’ll have some Twix, and will make this! (plus I’m still on diet plan…)
