Many of you, I’m sure, are already familiar with no bake cookies. I learned about the existence of these delicious cookies when I was in college from one of my roommies. I’ve been making them ever since.
I’ve tried several no-bake-cookies recipes so far, but Food Network recipe has worked the best for me. The cookies harden rather quickly and the texture of the cookies is just perfect.
I’ve made Nutella version of these cookies a while ago and they were amazing, too! These cookies are great because they are so quick to make and no preheating is necessary. Just throw the ingredients together in a pot, heat on the stove, scoop them on parchment paper, and wait. How easier can it get? :)
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 stick butter
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3 cups oatmeal
- Waxed paper (or parchment paper)
- In a heavy saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, until cooled and hardened.
